improvised puppet theatre for adults with musical accompaniment
In 2019, I supported the Offenbach puppeteer Antje Kania in building her puppets for an adult show. Previously, her performances were aimed at children, but now an older audience was to be tapped. To ring in the new chapter in a fitting manner, we developed new puppets together: While I modelled the heads out of clay in the old fashioned way and cast them in plastic, Antje painted the faces and took care of the hairstyles and outfits. This is how twelve figures came into being – twelve archetypes that can be used for thrillers, romances, psychological thrillers and other film genres.
